Want to Help a Nonprofit? Plan a Fundraising Event

How To: Gather a Team

If you are responding to a disaster or calamity, chances are that events are a bit more time-sensitive so having a host committee is something I’ve found to be very important. Approaching philanthropy as a group is always more successful. Gather a team of people who share an equal fire and passion with you AND who can help you out with logistics, invitations and communication. They may have skills that come very naturally by virtue of their experience or jobs so try evaluating people’s strengths and chances are that you’ll come up with a list people who can help make things happen in a shorter amount of time.
